The banner is a family signal. Each entry keeps its own meaning and receives the same copper accent without repeating a full image.

• 4242 lines of Torah

  A Torah scroll is parchment, ruling, column, and copy. Many columns are ruled at forty-two lines. Tractate Soferim discusses line counts, including 42. Surviving medieval Sephardic scrolls are often physically ruled that way. The number sits in the technology of reading.

• 42Allendy 42

  A 20th-century occult numbering. Recorded as a book, not as physics.

• V.42Ethics V.42

  The last proposition of the Ethics: blessedness is not the reward of virtue, but virtue itself.

• 42Forty-two Articles

  In 1553 England printed forty-two articles of religion. Cranmer’s set. Elizabeth later cut and revised them to thirty-nine. The 42 is the first print’s own count.

• 42 monthsForty-two months

  Revelation twice names a period of forty-two months (11:2, 13:5).

• 42Forty-two youths

  The Hebrew names forty-two youths. אַרְבָּעִים וּשְׁנֵי יְלָדִים. A narrative count in the verse, not a chapter seat.

• 42Forty-two-letter Name

  Kiddushin 71a speaks of a forty-two-letter Name. Later tradition maps it onto Ana b’Koach.

• 42Genesis 42

  The forty-second chapter is a later Bible chaptering. Joseph’s story sits there; he is not aged 42 in the verse.

• 3.42Gītā 3.42

  Senses above body, mind above senses, intellect above mind, and that which is beyond intellect.

• 4.42Gītā 4.42

  Chapter 4, verse 42. Distinct from 3.42. The Book’s lineage walks both pins.

• B42Heraclitus B42

  B42 is a modern catalogue stamp (Diels–Kranz). Heraclitus did not number his sentences 42.

  The received Wilhelm/Baynes and standard King Wen sequence numbers Increase as 42.

• 42Job 42

  Job has forty-two chapters in the received chaptering. The Lineage files it under Scripture · 42 and 4:20. The last door is restoration, not a cosmic constant.

  Paragraph numbers are editorial apparatus. The Book pins §420; the edition is the object.

• 42,000Kaplan · 42,000 divine years

  Kaplan 1993 writes the arithmetic. Psalm 90.4 is the seed (a thousand years), not the 42. Cycle-count is contested.

• 42Matthew’s generations

  Matthew 1:17 announces three groups of fourteen. The gospel names its own arithmetic. That is a control case: encoded pattern, not later observation.

  The itinerary in Numbers 33 lists forty-two stages. A recorded walk. Not a brick count.

• 42Odes of Solomon 42

  The surviving collection is counted as forty-two odes. Forty-two is the last door of that book.

  Plato imagined a city of 5,040 households, split among twelve tribes. 5,040 divided by 12 is 420. He prized 5,040 because it divides many ways. He did not write the word 420. The arithmetic is later.

  A named ancestor of the love walk. Aristophanes’ halves. Ficino later. Not a verse numbered 42. Tolkien and Lewis sit beside the strip as keepers of long memory, not as forced 42-math.

• 4:20Proverbs 4:20

  “My son, attend to my words.” The pin is 4:20, not 42. Families stay apart.

• 42Psalm 42

  A psalm numbered 42 in a later canonical system. The thirst is in the text; the 42 is in the numbering.

• shemittotSefer HaTemunah

  Usually cited for cosmic shemittot (often this world as the second cycle, Gevurah). Second cycle ≠ 6 × 7,000. Kaplan’s 42,000 is Kaplan’s reading.

• H420 / G420Strong’s 420

  Lexicon stamps. They are queue numbers, not letter-sums. CIPHER already refuses to treat G420 as gematria.

• 42Sūrah 42

  The received Egyptian/Kufan ordering places al-Shūrā as the forty-second sūrah. The title means Consultation, not Forty-two.

• 42Sutra of Forty-two Chapters

  The title is Forty-two Chapters. The traditional body is forty-two short teachings. Not a later editor’s seat in a longer book. The integer is the name of the work.

• 42Tao Te Ching 42

  “The Tao gives birth to One…” sits at chapter 42 in the received 81-chapter order.

  A page number. Edition-bound. The Book noticed it; pagination is not a law.
