A K giant in Draco. Flamsteed numbered it 42. In 2015 the IAU named the star Fafnir. The star is real and keeps its seats. The planet once named beside it is another room.
What it supports
A live Flamsteed 42. SIMBAD 42 Dra. IAU-CSN Fafnir equals HIP 90344. Same family as 42 Ori, 42 Peg, 42 Lib: a catalogue number, not a measured forty-two.
What it does not
Not Orbitar. Not a 42-world. A Venus pole-star note is a geometric neighbor, not this 42. Effective temperature printed near 4200 K is a neighbor digit.
