H₀ converted from km s⁻¹ Mpc⁻¹ into miles to print ~42

Planck reports the Hubble constant in kilometres. Switch the unit to miles and you can print about 42. The source did not.

What it supports

A standing glare lesson. The field’s own unit is km s⁻¹ Mpc⁻¹, near 67–68 in current Planck-scale papers. 67.4 × 0.621371 ≈ 41.9. Reception blogs notice the 42 after the conversion. The conversion is the trick.

What it does not

Not a measured 42. Not ΛCDM rewritten as Adams. Universe Today’s 2026 dark-siren figure was 69.9 km s⁻¹ Mpc⁻¹, then a joke. The joke is reception.

Calculation

67.4 km s⁻¹ Mpc⁻¹ × 0.621371 mi/km ≈ 41.9 mi s⁻¹ Mpc⁻¹. The 42 is the unit change.

Unnecessary unit conversion chosen after the integer. Protocol bars this.
