Venus

Recorded

Maya Dresden Codex Venus tables · a neighbor on the Book’s Venus walk, not a printed 42

Six folded bark-paper leaves of the Maya Dresden Codex side by side, painted glyph columns and figures in red, black and blue-green on a pale stucco ground.

ManuscriptMaya scribes; Saxon State and University Library DresdenPUBLIC DOMAIN

A real Venus almanac. Filed as a neighbor to the 42 walk, not as a 42 object.

What it supports

A documented Mesoamerican Venus table. The Book names it; this index does not invent a 42 inside it. Pages 24 and 46–50 track synodic Venus against the Tzolk’in. The gears remain 584, 260, 365.

What it does not

Maya load-bearing integers are 13, 20, 260, 365, 584. 42 is not among them. See the Tzolk’in.
